Do you like S & N?

Which letters do you use most when you write? What does your keyboard reveal?

While some polls (https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/explore/which-letters-are-used-most, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_frequency, https://www.math.cornell.edu/~mec/2003-2004/cryptography/subs/frequencies.html) say it’s E, I guess for me, it’s S and N. They are fading on my keyboard.

One day as Claus sat down at my computer to help me with some boring administrative task, he said, “Do you like S and N?”

This came completely out of nowhere so I had no idea what he was referring to. “Come again?” I asked.

“S and N. Do you like that?” He just said it so matter-of-factly.

You can see where this is going. “S & M?” I said, surprised.

I mean, shouldn’t this have been covered in Dating 101? We’ve been together for 17 years. In fact, shouldn’t he know by now?

My confusion was enhanced by the non-sexy environment in which this question was set up. It’s not like we were having wine on date night. We were working on webpage design and tech stuff, and there was no flirting.

He laughed at the miscommunication and pointed to the keyboard. “Your S’s and N’s are all faded,” he explained.

To think. I was just one letter away from having a really smutty keyboard.
